Starving

I could never survive

on words alone

yours

or mine

On feelings fleeting

and happiness that seeks dawn

when light does not break

and darkness knows no bounds

What bread will I soak

in uncelebratory wine

of a solemness fermented

and fantasies diluted away

I could write a story so beautiful, the entire world would toil through the pages of our love. Like everflowing fields being tended and flocked to.

Brazen are those adorned with my burden, one beloved, yet never blessed by the eyes I so adore
